Fingal Farm Supply started as an on-farm bagged fertilizer business by Doug and Hilda Jones to meet the needs of Southwold Township farmers. Presently, Fingal Farm Supply is operated by four managing partners — Stan Tufford, Mac Tufford, Stuart Lackey, and Tyler McComb — who proudly carry forward the legacy of Doug and Hilda.

Today, we offer a range of products, including fertilizer, crop protection, seed, lawn care, and feeds, to meet farmers’ growing demands.

History Timeline

1970

Brothers Paul and Doug Jones along with Doug’s wife Hilda started selling CIL bagged fertilizer from their farm location.

1972

Moved to the current location at 7655 Union Road and built a new full-service farm supply joint venture with CIL and became an Agromart business offering bulk fertilizer and blending capabilities. A farm equipment dealership was built on the same property ( Jones Agro Power) and was managed By Paul Jones and later by his son Brad Jones.

1984- 1988

Dale jones and Dave Hartney became partners and expanded the feed and farm supply business.

1989–2011

Dave Hartney retired and Stan Tufford joined to expand the agronomy side of the business. In the ensuing years, Stan became partners alongside Dale Jones. Doug and Hilda Jones retired.

2011–2018

Dale Jones retired, and Harm Spangenberg joined as a managing partner. The equipment dealership closed, and a major barn renovation expanded the fertilizer storage and blending capabilities. James Murray joined as a managing partner.

2019

Woodko joined Fingal Farm Supply.

2023–2025

Stuart Lackey, Tyler McComb, and Mac Tufford joined as managing partners. James Murray and Harm Spangenberg retired.

Today

Fingal Farm Supply is led by Stan Tufford, Mac Tufford, Stuart Lackey, and Tyler McComb, proudly serving Elgin County farmers for over 55 years.
